The voice of Cara Jones is well known in Japan and, increasingly, around the world. While living in Tokyo, Cara released three albums (two on major labels), toured the country, and placed songs with popular Japanese artists. Two of the three albums are available worldwide: the new cd "NOW" and the debut album, "Different Skies". Sales of Cara Jones albums and songs topped 1.2 million copies in 2000. Credits include cuts for major Japanese artists, writing and performing on internationally-released Playstation and Sega game soundtracks and anime, and countless commercial songs. Chances are you've heard her speaking voice in a GPS car navigation system! (She's the one telling you to make a left turn at the light in the Jaguar, some models of the Mercedes Benz, Land Rover, Cadillac, Ford, and more.) The first track on the new album, "Spit It Out", was featured in an episode of the hit TV series Dawson's Creek; last year the closing track, "Settle For Love", hit #1 on theMP3.com AAA/Alternative chart; and recently, the entire album was licensed to MTV for use in "The Real World" and other popular shows.
